SYSTEM MODELING LANGUAGE

We answer to the steadily increasing complexity of handling System Architectures by using the System Modeling Language (SysML) for System Engineering applications and tasks. SysML supports the specification, analysis, design, verification, and validation of a broad range of systems like a PoC (Proof of Concept). These systems usually include hardware, software, information and processes. SysML is an enabling technology for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Requirement Diagram

The „Requirement Diagram“ is used to show the specification and a formal documentation for related assumptions, which are treated as requirements usually.

Requirement relationships model the content of a specification.

Internal Blocks

Internal Block Diagrams specifies interconnection of parts. Block Diagrams are used to describe the structure of system:

Hardware
Software
Data

State Machine

Various behavior of SW or HW states can be describe in a formal way using the State Machine Diagram.
State charts give an overview changing including transitions.
Independant of if states are ECU or SW related.

Sequence Diagram

Such Sequence diagrams are perfect for message related use case documentation.
The involved HW and/or SW components are recognized immediately.
Very useful for testing procedures.
